New Street Lighting – The Murrays

local residents have raised concerns regarding the quality of new street lighting installed in The Murrays, including concerns over brightness.

Replaced as part of a city-wide programme to switch to more modern, energy efficient lighting, I can confirm Council Officers will shortly be carrying out a full night time appraisal of the new lights.

I will post a further updates on this matter as I have them.

Double Parking – Drum Street

In response to residents concerns I raised the issue of persistent double parking of vehicles on Drum Street. As a result additional parking enforcement is now taking place in the area.

I am also currently in dialogue with Council Officers regarding istallation of bollards on the dropped kerb areas to help eliminate double parking on these areas.
